In a dramatic twist for crypto politics, Donald Trump Jr.—co-founder of World Liberty Financial and eldest son of the former president—took to social media to distance himself from a newly launched wallet branded as the official “TRUMP Wallet.”
“The Trump Organization has zero affiliation with this wallet product,” Trump Jr. wrote. “Eric and I had no knowledge of it whatsoever. Stay tuned—our official wallet under World Liberty Financial is coming soon.”
But Magic Eden, the marketplace behind the project, is standing firm. A spokesperson confirmed the wallet is officially licensed and uses “Trump’s official branding and IP.” They added that Magic Eden has previously supported TRUMP NFTs and is now working with the project to launch a larger-scale TRUMP wallet initiative.
The clash raises questions about who really controls the TRUMP crypto brand—and whether multiple “official” wallets might soon hit the market. One thing’s clear: the 2024 meme coin cycle just found its next political subplot.
